BEAUTIFUL CREATION

The inspiration for this beautiful styled shoot is east meets west or Afro-Asia. The local elements, earthy textures, African patterns and local objects are warm, tactile and familiar; whereas the oriental elements are exotic, dramatic and dreamy. And isn’t that what a marriage is all about – the merging of two separate lives to create a new and unique unified identity?

NATURE’S TOUCH

Natural hues and fresh greenery are accentuated with splashes of copper – the metallic hue sensation that’s here to stay. This is a more modern, eco-inspired take on the African-Oriental fusion look. A raw pine garden bench style dining table with copper Tolix chairs brings the outdoors in and embraces a more natural feel.

DECOR: A sheer grey cotton raw-edged runner is paired with grey floral-patterned cotton napkins and hand-dyed dipped ombre napkins in pure linen. The raw-edged suspended lampshade, also made from pure linen, is handmade and adds a sense of rustic chic to the table. Woven grass lampshades filled with amaranthus and green parrot tulips sway above the tables, which are set with cork charger plates, wooden breadboards, square green textured side plates, rustic ceramic bowls, grey glass wine goblets, and the Malta Rose Gold Titanium plated cutlery set by Nicolson Russell. The florals include raw wood turned wooden vases with curly bamboo stems, copper pipe holders with green cymbidium heads and moss, and grey ceramic handle vases and hammered concrete pots with green hydrangeas and lace flowers.

FASHION: The dupion silk fit and flare strapless gown with strip silk detail, is worn with root necklaces, cotton tribal necklace and twine bangles. The second look is a lace and tulle bridal gown.
